Statue of SEAL Medal of Honor Michael Thornton carrying Medal of Honor Tom Norris off the battlefield at the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida. The statue encompasses the SEAL concept of swim buddy, each SEAL being responsible for the safety of others. The museum is appropriately located in Fort Pierce where the Underwater Demolition Team frogmen (SEAL predecessors) trained during World War II.

Fran Gallogly is a passionate photographer with a focus on landscape, flower, wildlife, portrait (especially children), travel and nature photography. She first was captivated by the expressive and artistic qualities of photography in the 1970s when she took classes at a workshop in Connecticut learning to develop and print black and white images from film. When digital photography became available, she transitioned enthusiastically to that medium and studied under such luminaries in the field as Bryan Peterson, Chris Hurtt, Kathleen Clemons, Scott Stulberg, Charlie Borland, Darwin Wiggett, Samantha Chrysanthou, Ian Plant, Danilo Piccioni, Robert La Follette, and Kevin Adams.
